A seven-month renovation of a classic Cape family home in Constantia.
- Area
- Constantia
- Type
- Renovation
- Scope
- Major renovation of a family home
- Duration
- 7 months
The house had the bones of a classic Cape estate, but the interiors had grown tired. The brief was to keep its character and raise the quality of everything inside it.
Over seven months we took the house back to its structure and rebuilt it: a new entrance portico and tiled forecourt, floor-to-ceiling steel-framed windows that bring light into the living areas and frame the mountain, and new bathrooms and finishes throughout.
